Mailward ("Mailward", "we", "us") operates the email-archive tools at pst.aivismonitor.com. This policy explains what information we do and do not collect when you use the site. By using Mailward you agree to this policy.

Your email archives never leave your device

Mailward is built to be local-first. When you open or convert a PST, OST, MBOX, EML, or MSG file, the file is read and processed entirely inside your browser using the File API and a Web Worker. The contents of your archive — messages, attachments, addresses, and folder structure — are never uploaded to, transmitted to, or stored on our servers. You can disconnect from the network after the page loads and the tools keep working.

Information we do collect

  • Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymised usage (for example which pages are visited, approximate region, browser, and device type). This never includes the contents of your email archive.
  • License activation. If you activate a Mailward Pro license, only the license key you paste is sent to our server to be verified with our payment provider. No part of your archive is sent.
  • Payment & identity data. Purchases are handled by our payment provider, Creem, acting as the merchant of record, together with its identity-verification provider, Sumsub. Your payment card details and identity documents are provided directly to those providers — Mailward never sees or stores them.
  • Support correspondence. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message, and keep it only to answer you.

Cookies

We use cookies only for the analytics described above. You can block or delete these cookies in your browser at any time without affecting the core tools, which run locally.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share the limited data above only with the service providers that make the site work — Google (analytics) and Creem/Sumsub (payments and verification) — and only as needed to provide those functions, or where required by law.

Data retention

Because your archives are never uploaded, we have nothing to retain about their contents. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to resolve your request.

Your rights

You may contact us to ask what information we hold about you, to request correction or deletion, or to raise a privacy concern. For payment or identity data held by Creem or Sumsub, please also refer to their respective privacy policies.

Children

Mailward is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
